We are gonna try something new today, here in General Discussion, we are going to have a single Intuitive Discussion thread.

What we are discussing:
Should governments stop helping other countries with money and focus on its own problems(jobs, taxes, homeless, healthcare)?
A country is a large entity and can focus on many things at once. In my opinion, countries will always need to assist other nations, in any way necessary. Just how the world is going to work! How that assistance is given, however, might need a tweak here and there. The other things, leave to delegation and state officials.
On a side note: LOL intuitive discussion is back. That one hit off well back when I wrote those guidelines you pasted up there! Good luck, Thor.
I agree in fixing ourselves first because it seems like the foreign countries ,where we are spending most, are not returning the favor by helping our country thrive.
I think, if they focused a lot more on their problems, they could be in a lot less debt. It shouldn't be other countries responsibilities for those that are poor, and are having money troubles. Its not ours countries problems, but theirs. Like its understandable when a natural disaster happens and they need as much aid and help as they can. Like the millions of dollars that goes into the army and such, if they cut back on them, and worked more towards education and health care, the states could see more and more successful people coming out.
I think we should help out other countries here and there, but focus mainly on our problems. We are so into debt it's insane. Seems like it just keeps adding up and up. Feels like the government would rather help other countries out rather than our own. It's just ridiculous.
We have treaties with other countries that we offer them protection as long as they supply us with oil, why do you think we protected kuwait/saudia arabia in dessert storm? ( btw this is why Osama Bin Laden hated us because we were protecting the holiest Muslim land and were infidels.)
The us wouldn't be as powerful as we are now without the political agreements with other countries.. Its just our part to help them.
