1. Don't fight in the toilets. What if normal people need to piss?
2. Hold your hands up higher. They should be either side of your head not in front of your chest. Your head needs defending, not your chest.
3. Once you get a good hit, keep going. When your opponent is dazed from a good hit, they won't defend as well.
4. The first match was unfair. One had more weight behind him than the other. It will usually be much less fun for the smaller guy lol. |
Definitely agree with you. The first fight was a huge advantage to Sully since they're fighting in a confined area, not only that Sully was pushing Ivan to the corner with his size.
Here's my advice to both fighters (via first fight):
Ivan, since your the smaller and lighter man, you need to stay on your toes. If you look at the GOATs (Greatest of All Time) Ali, Sugar Ray Lenard, Sugar Ray Robinson, Thomas Hearns, Manny Pacquiao, etc. they all stay on their toes. Plus throw "Punches in Bunches." This way, it will disarray your opponent and you'll be unpredictable at times.
Sully, since your the bigger guy but lack in height, you want to fight inside. Look at Mike Tyson and Joe Frazier. Most of the time they would "Bob and Weave" towards their opponent till they're at arms reach. I noticed that your "flat footed." Try to stand on your balls of your feet. Since you pretty much throw hooks at the guy, (if you want) work on your core and hips. You'll surprised that most of your punching power is coming from the core and hips.
Don't forget to side step when you guys square up. If he's blocking up front, hit him in the side.
*Note* I'm not trying to troll on these guys. I just saw some holes in their fighting style and I just gave my personal advice on becoming a better boxer.
