Hi Guys,

I've recently purchased Diamond membership for Horizon and indeed started playing Gears of War 3 (my first ever game from the franchise). I just wanted to ask you guys, what's the best weapons to use in the game/have in your slots in single-player, given the Horizon editor gives you like a hundred different weapons to choose from?

I don't know that much about the game, so I'm hoping the more experienced members can help

PS. If it helps, I'm currently at the stage where you've just released and travel on the cable-car thing. I also have the entire DLC pack collection for the game, so if certain weapons can only be used with the purchase of DLC, that should not be a problem.

The best weapons in the game are boomshot, gnasher, torque bow, and longshot.

Just a quick question, do you guys/other people know why you can't use certain weapons in the single-player campaign?

Any weapon from Horizon's tool that has a turret in its name for example, I cannot use for some reason in the actual game itself (i.e. it doesn't appear in my four weapons slots). I can't use the one-shot gun either, despite using it once in a level on the game. Can't use the flamethrower either.

Hammer of Dawn works however.

Just a bit odd isn't it? :S

You can't use a weapon that isn't available during that mission. Sorry
But a little cool thing you can do if you wanna level up really quick is clear your system cache then, mod the Boomshot, Sniper Rifle, Lancer and Frag Grenade on Act 3 Chapter 1 on INSANE.
Use Super Reload, the super explosions and a Hard Mutator to do the best with this
