The story of The Elder Scrolls V: Dawnguard involves the return of a Volkihar vampire lord named Harkon, who seeks to end the tyranny of the sun. Harkon intends to use the power in the ancient Elder Scrolls to accomplish his goal, while an order of vampire hunters known as the Dawnguard seek to stop him [1][2].
The Dragonborn is given the option either join the Dawnguard and help defeat Harkon or join forces with the Volkihar vampires[1][2].
Dawnguard can be started by listening for rumors or asking Hold Guards about a group of vampire hunters who are recruiting. This will steer the Dragonborn in the direction of Fort Dawnguard and the add-on will begin [2].

Easter Eggs(Will Update)
Morrowind Easter Egg
Quote:
To find this Easter Egg, you’ll need to travel to the Soul Cairn in the Dawnguard DLC. You’ll be able to access the Soul Cairn with both factions after completing the quest “Chasing Echoes.”
In the Soul Cairn, take a look around and you might just stumble upon a character named Jiub. This lost soul is very special, and will offer you a side-quest with a unique reward.
Jiub is actually the same Jiub you met in the prison ship at the beginning of Morrowind. He’s the first NPC you speak to, and kicked off The Elder Scroll’s modern incarnations that launched them into such success.
The spirit of Jiub, will request for you to find the many lost pages of his opus around the Soul Cairn. If you read each page, they’ll reveal that Jiub became a saint after eradicated the Cliffracer menace in Morrowind.
For anyone that played Morrowind, Cliffracer enemies were a constant annoyance whenever travelling, and Jiub’s slaughter of the creatures is a sly nod to fans everywhere that wanted the monsters gone.
While wondering the Soul Cairn, you might also hear a spirit saying the words: “Death is but a door, and time is but a window; I’ll be back.” Any Ghostbuster fan should recognize these as the last words of Vigo the Carpathian.
If anyone has easter eggs i'll add them to the list, Hope you guys like the thread

This is pretty pointless, just telling us the quest objective and listing the names of the locations and the names of monsters isn't really helping anyone.
