Default Cod 4 PC Problems.....
OK, So I just got cod 4 for PC today. And it is extremely laggy. Should i get more ram or what? I don't know how to stop it. Also, When i start up multiplayer it says punkbuster is disabled.

1. Your PC isn't fast enough then, RAM won't make much of a difference. Your laptop can't run COD4.

2. Options > Multiplayer > Enable Punk Buster

Is there a way to change the resolution? Lots of games are laggy at higher resolutions and run fine if you reduce the resolution in the game.

Yea, I was trying to mess with the video settings. Maybe if i get some good settings, it can run a little bit smoother?

sorry to kinda invade this, but im thinking about buying cod4 off of steam, and was wondering if like people hack/aimbot it? cuz that would ruin it if i buy it, and everyone hacks..

Not if you join the Punk Buster servers.I mean an occasional one is common, but not in every game. Its playable.

There is near enough no hacks on steam only the very rare couple but you probably will never come across a hacker.

The Steam copy and disc copy are the exact same. Both use the same servers, and both use PunkBuster. Not VAC.

Nevermind Guys i Fixed it and runs fine!
But, When ever im in a game i have punkbuster on... it kicks me and says some error like " Punkbuster resists"
