For the sake of easier navigation within the guide, I’ve added a contents. The system is fairly simple, with each section and sub-section within that section being given a pre-fixed number. For example, if you were trying to find information on the user interface and features within Horizon you could see that it’s under section 2.4. Simple and tedious, I know - I’m currently trying to implement a more user friendly and neater contents at the moment for now this one will have to suffice though. Please note, that this Guide is on two separate posts; one half is on this post, and the other half is the post directly below this one. This had to be done due to character and image limits - sorry for any inconvenience caused.

1.0: Overview/Introduction
1.1 What is Horizon?
Horizon is the most up-to-date and innovative Xbox 360 AIO (All In One) modding tool on the market. In seconds you can achieve 100% completion along with unlimited health, endless ammunition, bank loads of cash, and so much more for your favorite games. With a few clicks you can unlock those achievements and avatar awards for games you just can't beat while using Horizon’s incredible user interface, built with the casual gamer in mind. The program is updated frequently with the latest and greatest tools, making the possibilities endless, and modding for you, a cinch.
1.2 Guide Purpose
My intention was to create this guide for the purpose of helping out those people who are new to Horizon and modding in general. However, the guide is there for any member, whether familiar or new to modding to reference to. I’m sure even those who are experienced with Horizon will find something useful or new. I have been familiar with Horizon since the early part of 2010. I don’t preach to be an expert on Horizon, but I know a lot about the program and how it works, and hopefully I can pass on some of my knowledge and whatnot to some of you. This guide covers just about everything regarding Horizon, whether it be the tools, Diamond membership or even Easter Eggs, this guide has it. Hopefully whatever you’re looking for, you can find. For easier navigation there is a contents just above with each section. If you have any problems, questions or suggestions, don’t hesitate to PM me or reply to the topic.
2.0: Getting Started with Horizon & The Basics
In this section i'll go over where to download Horizon, how to register/log in and go over the basic layout of the program.
Horizon is only fully supported on Windows OS’s. To download, click the link above, a screen should prompt you to save, select save and open it from where you saved it. Now you’re ready to get started.
2.2: Registering an Account
If your reading this then chances are your already registered, if not then don't worry.
In order to get the full experience of Horizon it's highly recommended that you register, that way you can get access to most tools and editors that the program has to offer.
You can sign up directly through Horizon or through the site here. It makes no difference which way you sign up.
To sign up via Horizon -
Open up Horizon
Click on the blue "Register" button in the top left hand corner -
Or select the “sign up” button -
A window should pop up in Horizon asking you to create a Username/Password and also asking for your E-mail address so your account can be confirmed and validated.
You will then be instructed to make a Username and Password which you can use to sign into Horizon as well as the forums here on XboxMB. Now that you’ve downloaded Horizon and registered, it’s on to the basics.
Upon registering an XboxMB account, you agree that you are at least 13 years of age and that you will abide by all the forum rules which can be found here: The Rules
2.3 Logging Into Horizon
Once you have downloaded Horizon and registered, you should hopefully have Horizon opened.
Once opened you should see this:
Logging in is simple:
Just enter the username and password that you registered with in the respective entries.
You can press the auto login button so you won't have to enter your details each time you run Horizon, it should turn a peachy orange colour once activated.. To disable auto login just press it again.
Once logged in you can press the "My profile" button which will take you to your user profile on XboxMB.
2. 4 User Interface/Features
Horizon is well documented for having a modern, sleek and user friendly user interface. The program is extremely well laid out and as such, it’s easy to navigate and select which feature you want.
The first area I’m going to cover is the User bar.
1: User tab - Identifies what type of user you are e.g Developer, Moderator, PNET, Diamond, Regular or if you’re running in offline mode.
2: Username/Log in tab - Shows your username and when selected opens the log in panel.
3: Game Modders tab - When selected shows all games which have modding tools.
4: Profile Mods Tab - When selected shows things such as Account editor, Achievement unlocker, Game adder etc.
5: Tools tab - When selected shows tools such as Package manager, Theme Creator and Title ID finder.
6: Misc Tab - When selected shows information "about" Horizon and also a link to the site (XboxMB).
7. Quick Fix -
News and Chat bar
On the left side of Horizon should be the News and Chat bar.
It can be minimized and opened at any time by pressing the two arrows at the top of the bar.

The news feed comes directly from XboxMB's twitter.
There are two options on the news feed:
These are Refresh and Follow.
The chat bar is used as a shoutbox for Horizon users who want to discuss horizon, need help or just simply to converse.
To switch from the news feed to chat look at the bottom of the bar and click on Chat.
If you are a Diamond member then you have an additional exclusive chat box.
There are three options when using the shoutbox; these are refresh, shout and the text box which you can use to enter text.
Device Explorer
If Docked, (see “Docked Option” below) the Device Explorer can be found on the right hand side of Horizon. Much like the News and Chat, it can be minimized and opened at any time by pressing the two arrows at the top of the bar:

Footer Bar
On the bar at the foot of Horizon, there are a few things.
Rehash & Resigner
Although each tool will rehash and resign your save, there is a drag and drop option for which can be used quickly. Simply drag and drop a save on the area, and it will automatically rehash and resign.
Docked Option
This feature only applies to the Device Explorer. If disabled, when the Device Explorer is selected it will pop out like other tools and can be moved along the screen. However , if the feature is enabled the Device Explorer when selected, will be embedded in the right hand side of the program and can be opened and minimized by pressing the two arrows at the top of the bar

Skin Colour Changer
You can change the colour of the skin in Horizon by pressing this button:
It's located in the bottom right hand side, press it once to change the skin colour.
The available colours are: Black, Silver and Light Blue.
None of them make any difference to the program - it's only for personal preference.
3.0: Diamond Membership
3.1 What is Diamond membership and how do I buy it?
What is Diamond membership? It is a paid premium subscription that offers numerous features and extras that non-Diamond members are not privy to. In order to get the best and full experience of using Horizon, purchasing Diamond membership is highly recommended. In addition to the features you gain access to on the forums on XboxMB, you gain the ability to use Diamond exclusive tools and game modders. You also gain an additional chatbox that is exclusive to Diamond members.
Diamond membership costs $4.99 for a 1 month re-occurring subscription, $17.99 for a 3 month non re-occurring subscription and $49.99 for a 1 year non re-occurring subscription. Payments can be made through Paypal or with a credit or debit card. Before you purchase Diamond membership, please be sure that you’ve read and fully understand Horizons TOS which can be found here: XboxMB - Xbox Message Boards - Terms of Service
Please note that only 1 month subscriptions are re-occurring and only they can be cancelled. The 3 month and 1 year subscriptions do not need to be cancelled as they automatically expire. Also note, that it’s your own responsibility to cancel your subscription and nobody else’s. You alone will be held responsible for the cancellation of your subscription.
3.3 Diamond membership Features
On-site features and extras gained with Diamond membership:
No Advertisements - Removes all advertisement within the site upon upgrading to Diamond.
Increased Avatar Dimensions - Increases the maximum size your forum avatar can be from 100x100 to 120x120.
Animated Avatar - Gives you the option to use an animated avatar within the forum. (.GIF file).
Exclusive Forum Boards - Gives you access to extra and Diamond exclusive forums.
Personal Motto - Gives the choice to add a personal motto within the forums.
Coloured Username - Gives you a green coloured username upon upgrading to Diamond Membership.
Create a Social Group - Gives you the choice to create a social group.
PM Storage Limit - Increases the amount of PM’s you can store from 100 to 1000.
Diamond Badge - Gives you a Diamond badge within the forums.

Q: Can I get/What’s the risk of being banned from XBL by using Horizon?
A: Simple answer - Yes. Although it ultimately depends on what you’re modding and what tool you’re using. If you were to single player campaign on a game, it would be virtually impossible to trace seeing as it’s offline and not server sided. However, if you mod multiplayer or profile data that is accessed online you have every chance of being reset or banned from whatever respective game. Profile bans (9999) and console bans can also occur through ANY type of modding. It’s against Microsofts CoC to modify their system of or any of their games, and it’s your choice whether you want to risk it or not.

Q: Can I use/give someone(s) Diamond account to mod my saves?
A: As stated here: LINK , it’s okay to do it for a friend or two but offering services or loaning out your account to people you don’t know will not be tolerated and can result in your Diamond membership being revoked as well as further punishment to all parties involved if deemed necessary. If you really want Diamond, support the hard work put into it, and purchase it - it’s not expensive and it’s well worth the money.

Q: Can I become a Horizon Developer/Beta tester.
A: No. The Dev’ team is set and has no vacancies. If they deem it necessary to add another person to the team, it will be done at their own discretion. The same goes for beta testers, as Cheater has said previously:

Horizon PNET/Beta Testers
A select group of individuals who have particular knowledge in modding and Horizon. They basically test out tools before a public release, reporting on bugs and making sure the tool is working properly and up to scratch. Their feedback is then submitted back to the developers who make any necessary changes. Beta Testers are selected at the developers discretion, please do not make a thread or PM a staff member asking for it, you will not receive it. In addition to the above, all staff and Horizon Pro members have beta testing privileges.
Horizon Pro.
Horizon pro’s are members who have great knowledge in regards to Horizon and modding in general. They are the experts when it comes to Horizon support.
Staff Members
The staff members deal with issues relating to both the site and Horizon. They also have beta testing privileges.

Horizon would be nothing without it’s users. Without user interest, usage, feedback, suggestions and so forth Horizon wouldn’t be where it is today. Your continued support and feedback makes sure that Horizon continues to thrive. Suggestions for new tools and features and Feedback are always welcomed.

When posting though, make sure you express your opinions properly and back them up with sufficient reasoning. There’s no need to make a thread with something like “ Horizon is great, I love it.”. That doesn’t really contribute as feedback, and as such there’s no way for the developers to take that onboard.
In this section i'll add links that are useful or helpful regarding Horizon. Most of which is covered in this guide already, but nevertheless it’s sometimes better to get a different perspective of things.
If you ever want to check what has been updated and added to Horizon, you can check out the changelog. The changelog details what has been been changed; e.g - Bug fixes for GoW 3 or Forza Motorsport 4 game modder added. Along with this it tells you the version of Horizon at the time of each particular update with the latest update and version at the top of the log. Basically the changelog serves as information for reference for those who want to be kept updated with the going ons of Horizon.

In this section i'll go over all the tools that Horizon posesses as well as how to use them.
These will include the Game Modders, Profile Editors and Other Tools.
Game Modders
Most of the Game modders are pretty simple to use and require the same steps to mod your game. I'll go over what you can edit in each game and how to do it. Before modding your gamesave be sure to hit the backups button in the bottom right corner - this makes a copy of your save to make sure you don't lose it. You know backups is activated when the button is an orange colour.
Also, if you’re using a USB drive like myself - make sure your USB is configured with your Xbox, to do this - Insert a blank USB drive of at least 1 GB in size > go to System Settings > Memory and select the USB and it should prompt you to configure it. It should only take a few seconds, if a message comes up saying it’s not recognised as an official device and may not work properly - ignore it and click OK. Once done, your USB drive should be good to go. To extract your save game from your USB you will have to use the device explorer.
This guide is written from my point of view and by using USB drive rather than a HDD. If you’re using a HDD instead, don’t fret, the steps are exactly the same except that you save and load gamesaves to and from it instead of a USB.
(REMEMBER TO REHASH AND RESIGN YOUR SAVE AFTER MODDING IT.)

Now onto the tutorials;
Alan Wake
First of all you'll want to start a game on Alan Wake and once you get past the first checkpoint, save your game and exit to the dashboard. Then go to system settings > memory and find where you saved your game. After that transfer your save to your USB, insert it into your computer and extract into Horizon using the device explorer. You can then start using the modding tool to mod your save.
As you can see from the images above there are a few things which can be modded by the Alan Wake tool. You can unlock each level at each game difficulty. Just select the game difficulty via the drop down menu and press unlock all for the selected difficulty to unlock all the levels for that difficulty. To unlock all the levels for every difficulty just select "unlock all for all difficulties".
You can also unlock the manuscript pages. You can unlock them individually or altogether - the choice is yours. To unlock them all select "unlock all" or to unlock individual ones select which episode you want to unlock manually.
The tool also allows you to edit your stats. You can edit your kills by either selecting the max button which will edit the value to the maximum available or you can edit the number yourself using the up/down arrows or entering a value manually. You can also edit your values for Chests, Radios, Signs, Thermos and T.V shows. To do this, simply select add all individually for each item or select the big "add all" button to add everything. After you've finished modding your save, click save to rehash and resign it.
Assassins Creed II
First of all you'll want to start a game on Assassins Creed II and save your game and exit to the dashboard. Then go to system settings > memory and find where you saved your game. After that transfer your save to your USB, insert it into your computer and extract it to Horizon using the device explorer. You can then start using the modding tool to mod your save.
The only thing you can mod using this tool is your money. Either add a value yourself or select max money - the choice is yours. After your done, press save to rehash and resign.
