Better explanation:
get your game save onto your computer however you want open it in hex editor
now open your base converter under tools.. left side should say intel and right should say long... now under long enter in the amount of gold you put in the barrel and now copy the intel code it gave you.... press control F and do a search for hex values and enter the intel code you were given once it finds your gold (should only be one instance) change it to FF FF FF save the file and rehash and resign and place file back onto xbox.

I'm using "HxD", and when I search for gold it finds the word in the stats section. So how do I find my actuall gold?

Found info online that you can migrate your .dat after extracting it to a Pc version then mod the save using the 'console' cmds. rename back to dat from .ess and inject it back to the 360...

question is how bad does one want to 'mod' their save lol. (own a PC/360 edition).

dont know if you guys already know this but once your gold is in a barrel and you open in a hex editor, search for the amount that has 40 00 0F in front of your gold amount, 40000F is the item id for a barrel.

Wrong.
Skyrim is structured just like Oblivion, making it incredibly hard to build an adequate mod tool and thus not "easily modifiable".
Hell, our Oblivion tool still gives you negative stats occasionally for no reason.
The game is just poorly coded in general.
Good game, p*** poor coding.

Money modding is possible, but stat modding never works quite right on Bethesda games.
