Too much Advertisement. - XboxMB

Over my career here on XboxMB I have seen so much Advertisement. There is too much. I am not sure if it is Bots or Members physically creating them. It probably is Members creating them for the site advertisement(s) and Bots for spamming/other stuff. I think that we need a better system of blocking those people from the site.

Like maybe an even better Captcha system then we already have because they obviously can get through them in a blink of an eye. Maybe like if they get passed it then post a thread advertising, they would automatically be I.P. banned from the site. It just gets so annoying seeing them come in and post and have other members post on them. The members here should know better from posting on it and let it die down until the Staff Members handle it.

We just need a better system to keep these people away from the forum. All advertisement does is create spam/clutter and get other members infracted/warned from posted rude/spam on that thread because the members are breaking the rules too. I just hope this will stop so we can enjoy ourselves here at XboxMB. Plus, it relieves the staff from having all of the trouble clearing up/banning/infracting the bots/members posting dumb stuff. I know we have an Email Verification, but we still need another system of keeping these members/bots out.

tl;dr - We need a better system of keeping the members/bots away from here at XboxMB.

I just hope this will clear up sooner or later because it is getting annoying.

Those aren't bots signing up. We have captcha and email verification. Not much more we can do.

Maybe have an automatic scanner for ".com" or anything related to that for the first 30 posts, and then it goes away. So if a new member joins and puts that in the title in his thread advertising a website, it will be blocked.

ETG members have been talking about it in their shoutbox, I joined and complained.

Their site is really bad, and they get a BADGE if they advertise....

There is no real way to stop them. We can't IP ban as they post and create accounts on new IPs. Can't put in better Captcha because it's a person who is creating them. If there was a system to IP ban advertising thread how would the bot know what is advertising and what is posting resources ect?

Etg fails at life... get a fake download and let an admindownload it and get their info and just freak it up.

Have it stop those 10minute mail things like ttg does. Thats how they advertise on here.... im a member on there i see

To the admins, make it so they can't use a lot of the 10 minute mail systems. (Like said in the above post.)

Add a word filter. Block out anything that has etg or elitetechgaming in it.

That should help.

Reading the shoutbox they are draining all of the dignity from their site. Advertising and spamming doesn't do **** for anyone.
