Dashlaunch v3.0beta - I have not used this yet, but here it is if you want it.
Edit Your launch.ini
Locate the launch.ini
Code:
installer/launch.ini
Open launch.ini and use the following to setup which dashboard you want to load by default, simply copy and replace the setup to your liking. If you use the files I provided and change nothing it will load Freestyle dash by default.
Step 1
Download the links provided and place them on your USB flash drive, then move your USB flash drive to your Jtag and turn it on.
Step 2
Get to the xexmenu however you normally do.
When Xexmenu loads,
press RB on the xbox controller
press X
select Usb0 and push A
Should look like this
Select Freestyle, press Y, select Copy and press A
Press X, select HDD1 and press A
Press Y, select Paste and press A
Press X, select Usb0 and press A
Select installer and press A
Select default.xex and press A
When it loads it should look like this, now press A
Wait until it finishes and Press A to shutdown
As a safety precaution, I unplugged the xbox for the back of the console for 10 secs, like when swapping keyvaults, plugged it back in and turned the xbox on. It should now boot into Freestyle Dash by default.
FTP program TUT
Step 1
Download the links provided and place them somewhere you have easy access to, I usually place them on the desktop.
Step 2
Open your FTP program (FlashFXP, FileZilla, ect..) and turn on your Jtag.
Locate the files you downloaded and connect to your Jtag, should look like this.
Double click on Hdd1
This is where you need to transfer the files to.
Single click on Freestyle
Click the Transfer icon
Single click on installer
Click the Transfer icon
Both folders should now be on your Hdd1, and should look like this.
You can now click the "Disconnect" icon and close the FTP program.
Step 3
Go to your Jtag and locate Hdd1
Select installer and press A
Select default.xex and press A
When it loads it should look like this, now press A
Wait until it finishes and Press A to shutdown
As a safety precaution, I unplugged the xbox for the back of the console for 10 secs, like when swapping keyvaults, plugged it back in and turned the xbox on. It should now boot into Freestyle Dash by default.
Updating FSD
This requires you to be connected to the internet, use an offline profile or disable connecting to live via the Family Settings.
Step 1 Enable Beta Updates, heres how.
Go to Utilities and select Settings
Select General Settings
Go over and scroll down and check Enable Beta Updates
Now when an update is available, you will get a message, like this
Step 2
When you get the message saying there is an update, go to Utilities and select Settings
Select General Settings
Select Updates
Select all available updates and click Y to apply updates
You should get a message saying Updates have been added to the download queue.
Let it download the updates, when it is finished a message will pop-up, select Restart FSD
When it reboots push Y
Let it install the updates and when it says it finished, press any button to reboot
It will say Restarting
Step 3
When it reboots, go to Utilities and select Settings
Select General Settings
select Reset Settings
select Reset Skin Settings
Select OK
Let it do its thing
It will restart your skin back to default and you will have all the updates.
