I have been a hacked a couple years ago and they took $400+ (M$ surprisingly reimbursed me) I know what phishers and key loggers are and am positive that I didn't have any. They locked my account for good, which blew donkey d*ck. I just buy the year long and M$ point cards in stores now and only activate them when I need them.

Still, as stated above, I feel they (M$) would be able to track them and ban certain IPs or something.

Seems like some admin got lax on security. My bet is outdated software; its a common issue sadly.

The hackers probably use sophisticated proxies and firewalls to block their IPs from being tracked. That's why they are still doing it, rather than sitting in federal prison.

The funny thing is microsoft do nothing about this. One of my friends in real life has stole atleast 3 accounts and nothing has happened to him at all.
