Also Chris, this is all a point of view. Please accept my opinion on things, as I can´t see any evolution in the CoD series!
And most important: You don´t know if he just retired or if he got fired. He says it was his decision to go, but maybe it´s not true. You wouldn´t post that you just got sacked....you would also pretend that you left....
