The main reason I buy the next installment is because it is different than the last. From mw1 to mw2 we had more killstreaks. from mw2 to mw3 we had more killstreaks. To be painfully honest, why should you care that they didn't update their server or whatever? the guns, maps, killstreaks are mostly different than the last. And to me that is enough.

Modern Warfare 2 ruined it. If that game never got released things would be different.
Modern Warfare 3 is a great game and I enjoy it BUT I didn't sweat the prequel.
Call of Duty 4 and World at War were the best. Even though I hated zombies.
