a few questions! hitachi drive flashing - XboxMB

ok so i have an xbox with a hitachi dvd drive, that i want to flash, now i started up the xbox and it isnt the latest dashboard, so can i still use LT 3.0? also, can someone give me a link to a tut of how to flash a hitachi drive to the newest firmware, and also what do i have to worry about with the new disc format? XDG3 or something like that i think it is..thanks for all the help!!!!

edit: after looking around for a little bit i have noticed that LT3.0 hasnt been released for hitachi drives..what can i do?

hitachis dont need to be reflashed but the cant play xdg3 im pretty sure so i belive tht meens u cant play mw3 or gears 3 batttlefeild 3... but dashboard updates dont affect hitachis because they are to old tobe affected by it.

i dont think thats true because what if i owned this as my only console and wanted to play those games...they have to work..thanks though
