Why do people charge for lobbies? - XboxMB

I know it is because they can, and the lobbies for MW2 are rare, but why?

I mean the people are just getting XP and stuff, they aren't taking any patches that are rare or anything... I just don't see why somebody can be nice and host for free.

Because they have to spend their time hosting. This is basically like saying people should work for free.

If they can make money out of it, why not?

People are willing to pay a lot and you can make so much money from it. Therefore, why not charge?

It's not really the same, because people just turn on their JTAGs, start a game, and then just go do something else. They aren't really working. However, I don't blame them for asking for money, I know I would.

Now they are working on Unlock All. Also People rent from them and no point of giving out free lobbies. They are just trying to get money off of them.

to host a lobby, all you'd basically need to do is load up all the files, start the game and give people the mod menu, there, you're done. thats not much work

Most people make up "because I had the money to buy a jtag, I dont see why people should use this for free"
they we're the one that wanted the jtag, but they didn't realise they could do so much more than host lobbies with them.

Well since all lobbies are recovery they have to sit there and recover them first then rank them up 1 by 1 unless they have 18 consoles.

Its not that easy. You need a lot of stuff to get your jtag working on TU7
