Ram may work. But you may or mayn't be maxed on what's compatible with your system. Ie, it systems only like up to about 4GB ram (Cant remember exact figure)
Depends on your motherboard, A CPU upgrade might be a good option.
Again, Depends on motherboard and your current OS (32/64bit) Ram might be the way to go.
If your Running 32Bit, and OS upgrade maybe the best option.
