Default Powerful enough to run games? (Not Max)

My birthday is coming up and I am looking into getting a desktop, I want to play games smoothly, graphics don't matter I can play on low and not care. I currently play on a macbook and I can play skyrim on low settings with almost no lag (I am using windows 7 on it.)

Anyway, will this computer be good for games? (I know, it's dell)
XPS 8300

If you can find one for a better price, please post it. I don't want to build one though, I know it's cheaper and fun to do, but I don't want to risk breaking anything.

It might be able to play it on the lowest of the low.

However, this: https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/M...px?ID=23217807 would run it at either high or medium and run damn near flawlessly, for $9 less. When I built my first PC, I was thinking the same exact thing. I don't want to build one, because I'm afraid I will **** up. Just look up on youtube, newegg's how to build a PC, and he literally goes through every single step. It's actually really easy. All it is, is plugging a few things in, and screwing a couple things in. Not really that hard. And trust me, it's worth it.

It is in your budget, I know you said you don't want to build it but you will save a lot of money and if you do break something newegg has an excellent return policy.

I say build your own and once you get the parts just bring them to a local tiger direct or computer store by you and I'm sure they will help you assemble it.
