As much as I want to reply to you in the thread, I won't.
Providing for themselves makes sense - Yes. Need food, living off the land and killing animals and whatnot, go ahead.
Killing people because one day they snap or are on medicine, ect, is just stupid. Saying they NEED guns to protect themselves is just ignorant. You don't NEED a gun to protect yourself - Most "robberies" or break ins are those with knives, or no weapon at all. Why would you shoot someone who comes in with a knife? Because you're threatened? Weird, because that's jail time for us up here and in almost every other country except America, and look at your death rates from guns.
