Teaser time; the latest issue of UK mag PSM3 is promising a look at a “mystery shooter sequel” in its next issue.The tease is complete with a picture of two bullets, the significance of which we couldn’t possibly imagine. It’s also noted that the game will be out in 2012.Speculation is likely to point to the fantastical, then (Black 2! Killzone 4! Bulletstorm sequel!), but we’ll play it safe and say that this is most likely the all-but-officially-announced Medal of Honor 2 or maybe even Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. The next issue of PSM hits on March 6 so look out for a full reveal some time around then.

Sony has announced PlayStation Network accounts will be changed over to Sony Entertainment Network accounts via an update on February 8, a move which has been the works at the firm since September 1 of last year.According to the notice sent out to various PSN account holders, the move incorporate a “comprehensive network platform” of services from Sony across games, movies, music and various media offerings.“This transition is based on Sony’s goal to enhance its unique digital entertainment offering,” read the email. “As a series of these activities Sony started last September, PlayStation Network will be aligned with Sony Entertainment Network.“This helps us get closer to our goal of establishing a global comprehensive network platform of services across games, movies, music and more, all accessible from one convenient account.”A few minor changes were made to the TpS agreement, but the main change is in the name only at this time.PSN accounts will change over to SEN accounts via the next PS3 and Vita software update next week, and changes will not be applied to PSP for the present.

Robert Bowling has announced on the official forums that Modern Warfare 3 will receive its second community playlist, Infected, this weekend on February, 5th.After the introduction of Drop Zone to positive feedback, Infinity Ward wanted to keep rotating playlists in Modern Warfare 3 for the community. Infected is one of the fan favorite private gamemodes. The new playlist will be added on Xbox 360 and PS3 this Sunday. However, PC players have to a bit longer; no date was given on when it will be added.Game Structure10 seconds into the match, the game will pick you as “the infected” or one of the survivors. Bowling explained, “the game ends when either all players have been turned into infected or the game timer ends. A Survivor’s goal is to stay alive until the game ends, however, if you’re turned Infected, your goal is to turn all other survivors into infected by killing them.” Each side will be assigned to specific loadouts, but different variations of the gamemode will rotate. In terms of points, Bowling stated “you will receive 100 points per kill (whether you’re a survivor or infected). With a gaming infrastructure as large as Microsoft's Xbox LIVE, there are always going to be employees who are well known. One of those employees is Stephen Toulouse, also known by the nickname of 'Stepto', and he has been the Director of Policy enforcement on Xbox LIVE. He has announced his plans to leave the company on his personal blog.

Modern Warfare 3?s creative strategist, Robert Bowling, discusses panic knifing, quickscoping, weapon balancing, and potential nerf to Type-95.Earlier today, we reported on Bowling’s suggestions on how to deal with panic knifing. In a nutshell, Bowling suggested that players should be careful when walking around corners. This advice aggravated one fan to jokingly demand Bowling to remove corners all together. Robert’s response was quite amusing, “roger. Got it, the answer to camping is to remove all corners. Call of Duty: Circle Warfare will be amazing.” Now that panic knifing is under the magnifying glass, one fan suggested that everyone hates it. Bowling disagreed, “the guy doing the knifing is loving it.” Another fan tried to persuade Bowling by bringing up the realism argument in regards to knifing, Robert answered “that’s the thing about war in video games and war in real life. One is fun; the other is real.” In terms of quickscoping, some players believe that there is a difference in quickscoping mechanics between semi-automatic rifles and bolt actions, Robert refuted these claims, “I don’t believe so. It should be the same mechanic.”
