If I'm not mistaken all iHAS drives will work with the payload tool. It specifically has to be a "B" revision for it to use the burnerMAX firmware, which they no longer make. That should work though.

That is so far outdated and is no longer supported for xdg3 games. The only proper way to rip games is with an official MS Xbox 360 Disc Drive and use xbox backup creator.
