if theres someone you know with the game you can ask them to borrow it for a bit, then install it, from there as long as your xbox can tell which game it is from the dashboard...

If it's already on extended then just push the mouse out of the first screen and it'll be on the 2nd.
you can change the layout on the Screen Res page(Right click desktop)

the files aren't originally there, you need to rename your script files to xmc1 xmc2 etc yourself then put em in.

If you don't plan on gaming with it I doubt you'd need a 660. If you haven't used windows 8 yet I'd suggest doing so, Starts up pretty fast compared to 7/vista.
